Flood Risk Meeting for Newly Identified At-Risk Neighborhoods
In an effort to increase public awareness of areas at risk for flash flooding before the midsummer rainy season begins, the City of Colorado Springs Office of Emergency Management will host a preparedness meeting for businesses and residents along the waterways for North and South Douglas Creeks.

What:
The meeting is open to the public and will address potential impact on North and South Douglas Creeks identified in the Preliminary Flash Flood Risk Analysis for the Waldo Canyon Burn Scar, which was released Tuesday, May 28. Anyone who received a postcard invitation is at risk for flash flooding and encouraged to attend. Online maps to determine flood risk are available at www.springsgov.com/floodinfo.
The meeting location is wheelchair-accessible. Bus access is also available. Residents who require public transportation may use Mountain Metropolitan Transit route 14, stop 4.
