Once again, we find our community in the midst of tragedy as our neighbors in the Black Forest struggle with the current fire. In light of the current events, AspenPointe's Colorado Spirit: Waldo Support Team would like to remind the Mountain Shadows residents that we are still committed to supporting you through the recovery process.

Often times, a simple reminder such as the smell of smoke in the air, or seeing the response aircraft in the distance can bring about a strong emotional response for someone who is a survivor themselves. Please be aware of your own emotional wellbeing and keep an eye on your family, friends and neighbors as well. 

As we applaud the efforts of all of the Waldo Canyon Fire survivors who are actively assisting our Black Forest neighbors, we would also like to encourage continued self-care. Mountain Shadows has made tremendous gains in regards to rebuilding over the last year, however there is more work to be done. Please continue to give what you can, but remember that in order to truly care for others, you must also take care of yourself.
