Saturday Giveaway: Native Perennials!

Southwest Farms, Inc., a nursery in Pueblo, is generously donating approximately 12,000 perennial plants, including native grasses, to Woodmen Valley Chapel because they are unable to provide enough water for such a large number of plants.

Woodmen Valley Chapel is offering the plants to Mountain Shadows residents to help green up the neighborhood!

The nursery will make two large deliveries of approximately 6,000 plants per delivery. The plants will be staged at Woodmen Valley Chapel, and on both delivery days, the goal is to have all the plants picked up by Mountain Shadows residents by 1:30 p.m.

When:

8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27
8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 3

Where:

Woodmen Valley Chapel
290 East Woodmen Road
Colorado Springs, CO  80919
(map)

What:

The plants are native, so even though they may originally require some watering, they could be used in open space areas and survive.
