Postponed: Ashes to Art Charity Auction

Out of respect for those fighting and being affected by the Black Forest Fire, Colorado Springs Together has decided to postpone the Steve Weed “Ashes To Art” charity auction.  A new date will be determined in the near future.

Colorado Springs Together and the Mountain Shadows community ask everyone to keep their thoughts and prayers with the Black Forest residents and the First Responders fighting to contain this devastating fire.

The original information about the art auction is below.

The Art and The Auction

The striking "Ashes to Art" collection by Steve Weed incorporates actual charcoal and ashes left by the Waldo Canyon Fire of June, 2012.

Two days before the one-year anniversary of the devastation caused by the Waldo Canyon Fire, twenty pieces from this powerful and emotive body of work will be auctioned.

Very generously, Steve is donating the artwork to Colorado Springs Together so that all the proceeds from the auction can be used for the Mountain Shadows Waldo Canyon Fire Memorial to be unveiled in 2014.

Please join us and participate in this significant auction fundraiser. If not for your own personal collection, please consider bidding on a piece from this historic collection to give as a legacy gift, in your name, to hang in a local fire station.
