Landscape Rehabilitation Seminar

Colorado Springs Together and Colorado Springs Utilities are co-sponsoring a Landscape Rehabilitation Seminar. All Mountain Shadows residents interested in planting during the upcoming growing season are encouraged to attend an informative presentation by expert Catherine Moravec.

What:

  • The seminar will address key landscape rehabilitation issues faced by Waldo Canyon fire-impacted residents, including:
  • Best practices for assessment, planning and implementation of landscape rehabilitation measures
  • Amazing landscape design ideas!
  • Impact of potential water restrictions
  • Timeline considerations – why start now?!

Catherine works as a horticulturist for Colorado Springs Utilities in the Water Conservation Unit. She coordinates two xeriscape demonstration gardens, the landscape water conservation education program and an exceptional group of dedicated volunteers. Previously, she worked as the Horticulture Extension Agent for Colorado State University Extension in El Paso County. Catherine grew up in the Denver area and earned a master's degree in Horticulture from the University of California at Davis. She's worked in landscaping for 16 years.
