Resident Preparedness Meeting: Flood Risk

The City of Colorado Springs Office of Emergency Management will host a resident preparedness community meeting about the post Waldo Canyon Fire flood risk. The meeting will provide education and updated information with regard to the Waldo Canyon Fire and current flood risk issues.

What:

Speakers will spend the first part of the evening addressing key issues relating to flood risk in Mountain Shadows.

Following the presentations, representatives from the following agencies will be in attendance to offer one on one opportunity for questions:

  • Colorado Springs Fire Department
  • Colorado Springs Police Department
  • KRDO Meteorologist
  • National Weather Service
  • FEMA (Flood insurance)
  • US Forest Service
  • Colorado Springs Stormwater
  • AspenPointe
