Mountain Shadows Park Update

After an extensive and successful public input process for Mountain Shadows Park, on March 14th, 2013 the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board unanimously approved an amendment to the Mountain Shadows Park Master Plan. The new community-sculpted master plan will move forward with construction drawings and fundraising opportunities over the next few months with a ground breaking celebration on June 26th, 2013.

The exciting Mountain Shadows Park Master Plan process would not be possible without the help of the hundreds of Mountain Shadows residents and children who participated in the park surveys, kids’ drawing ideas, and numerous community workshop meetings. The neighbors’ wonderful comments and feedback during the past three months are a true reflection of the community's strength and tenacity in the rebuilding of the Mountain Shadows community. Thank you neighbors!

In the meantime, look for upcoming email announcements on project sponsors, project donors, volunteer opportunities and details for the ground breaking celebration. For additional project information, visit www.SpringsGov.com/MSMP for updates and progress reports.
