Burn Area Water Restriction Provisions
Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) understands the hardships faced by Waldo Canyon Fire families as they rebuild their homes.
To assist, CSU will offer a unique Establishment Permit to qualifying properties that intend, for the first time, to re-establish native or traditional landscapes this year.
This is an important year for the Waldo Canyon Fire burn area. For flood prevention and the safety of neighbors downstream, it's important to re-establish landscapes. Waldo Canyon Fire Establishment Permits will ensure that affected customers do not pay the water shortage charge but will be subject to the current water rates during the permit period.
Mountain Shadows Provision
Please review the FAQ document for qualification and application information. The permit period is 28 days with an option to renew, one time, for an additional 28 days at the time of the initial permitting.
General Restriction Information
Please review the Residential Fact Sheet for information on water restrictions.
