Saturday's Sandbag Distribution Day

We would like to remind you that the City of Colorado Springs Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with Colorado Springs Together, will distribute sandbags on Saturday to homeowners that could be impacted by potential flooding after the Waldo Canyon Fire.

If you are unable to pick up pre-filled sandbags on Saturday, click here for other options available to you.

When:

Saturday, April 13, 2013
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Verizon Wireless
2424 Garden of the Gods (at 30th St.)
Colorado Springs, CO 80919

Enter the Verizon Wireless parking lot off of Flying W Ranch Road.

What:

Volunteers will be on site to fill sandbags and help residents load them in their cars.

For more information about potential flooding after the Waldo Canyon Fire, visit www.SpringsGov.com/floodinfo.

Residents are advised to consult a certified erosion and sediment control consultant or contractor to manage flooding mitigation on their private property.

Sandbags should not be placed in the public right-of-way.
