Annual Neighborhood Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Mountain Shadows tree lighting ceremony of 2012.

Last November, GESCO Nursery generously donated a 30 foot community tree to the Mountain Shadows neighborhood. The tree was planted at Wilson United Methodist Church.

On November 30th, the community held its first annual tree lighting ceremony as a symbol of light and hope for the future of Mountain Shadows during its recovery from the Waldo Canyon Fire. A year later, we are in awe of how far the neighborhood has come.

It is with great pleasure that we cordially invite you to gather again with your neighbors for this year's tree lighting event!

When:

Sunday, December 1, 2013
7:00 p.m. (tree to be lit around 7:30 p.m.)

Where:

Wilson United Methodist Church
6460 Flying W Ranch Rd.
Colorado Springs, CO 80919

What:

The tree lighting ceremony will be hosted by Wilson United Methodist Church and we want to give their team and our volunteers a special thanks for working tirelessly on this project.

We also thank Comcast for generously sponsoring this event as part of their continued support of Mountain Shadows.

From 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., the church will hold a special carol singing (with a live orchestra). Everyone is welcome to attend.

After the tree lighting event, there will be a time of community fellowship with desserts, cider, and hot cocoa.

Please feel free to attend any or all portions of the evening as makes sense for your family.
