Last Chance to Sign Up for FEMA NFIP Flood Insurance

The deadline for flood insurance applications under the FEMA NFIP process is September 9, 2012 (60 days after the containment of the Waldo Canyon Fire).

Because there will be a high flooding risk in the Waldo Canyon Fire burn area for several years, Colorado Springs Together has arranged for residents to be able to meet with insurance representatives to prepare and submit flood insurance applications before the deadline.

When:
September 6 & 7, 2012
1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. both days

Where:
Colorado Springs Together Center
6840 Centennial Blvd
Colorado Springs, CO 80919

Who:
El Paso/Teller County residents wanting to purchase flood insurance with the assistance of an insurance professional. Please check with your insurance agent and insurance company first to find out if they will write the application for flood insurance under this program. Regardless, the application must be submitted before 9/9/12.

Please call Annie, at Colorado Springs Together, to schedule an appointment: 719-593-0010
