Two Recovery Events Offered by Long Term Recovery Group

The Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) of the Pikes Peak Region is a non-profit consortium of local disaster response organizations and faith groups. We would like to inform the community of two weekly events they have organized.

Thursday Evening Listening Post

When:
Each Thursday through the Holidays
5:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

Where:
Wilson United Methodist Church
6400 W. Flying W Ranch Road
Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Participation is open to all regardless of religious affiliation.

What:
The Waldo Canyon Fire Emotional and Spiritual Care (ESC) Team has opened a listening post for neighbors who experienced the Waldo Canyon Fire and its aftermath. Each person has a unique story to tell. The listening post provides residents with a genuine, caring, listening ear. If you find yourselves struggling with unresolved issues or stuck in the process of recovery from this disaster, come share your experiences during and after the fire and how it has impacted your life. The ESC Team serves alongside the Long Term Recovery Group of the Pikes Peak Region and can refer those struggling with the aftermath to further support through that group if needed.

Note to the Community: We have approximately 2000 Mountain Shadows contacts with whom we communicate regularly via these informational emails. Nonetheless, we occasionally run across someone who is unaware of our ongoing communications efforts. If you know anyone who is not receiving these emails, please let them know that the best way to be kept up-to-date with the restoration plans is to sign up for our emails on the bottom of our home page at www.ColoradoSpringsTogether.org. Thank you for supporting your neighbors in this way.
