We Need Volunteers!

The rebuilding and restoration process is ramping up! We are in need of willing and committed volunteers to help at Colorado Springs Together: The Center.

When:
We need a set weekly schedule that works for you during our business hours between:
9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Monday – Friday

What:

Administrative Support
We need administrative support in the following areas:

  • Helping resolve residents' questions
  • Answering phones
  • Checking voicemail
  • Responding to emails
  • Other tasks as needed

Please stop by The Center and let Annie know you would like to help. After seeing if this role will work for you, Annie will request the weekly hours you will be able to commit to and will add you to the schedule.

Community Leaders
We have moved beyond debris removal and have started work on the reconstruction efforts and helping people resolve insurance challenges. We are looking for community leaders who are interested in helping in several areas including:

  • Coordination of volunteers
  • Arranging education events
  • Fundraising for community events and projects
  • Mitigation activities for minimizing fire and flood risks
  • Neighborhood safety
  • Art projects
  • Event planning
  • Project management
  • Neighborhood feedback and lessons learned

Additionally, the Mountain Shadows Community Association (MSCA) is working on covenants and architectural standards to support the rebuilding efforts. The Parkside and other homeowners associations are working on similar projects.

Please let us know if you are interested in taking on a leadership role to support the restoration of the neighborhood and support those affected by the fire.

Colorado Springs Together is a community-driven volunteer effort, and is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The team members are distinguished citizens and business professionals in the community facilitating and coordinating a quick and effective rebuilding process for the neighborhoods devastated on June 26th by the fire. The donations received will go towards the activities required to help restore the lives and the neighborhoods affected by the fire at the same time maintaining a strong sense of community during the rebuilding process.
