Mountain Shadows Resident Voting Information

Those who remain displaced by the Waldo Canyon Fire probably have questions about where they should vote on November 6 for the 2012 Presidential Election.

Wayne Williams of El Paso County Clerk & Recorder has put together the following information to ensure you are able to cast your ballot:

Residency for Voting:
If you are now living at a new residence which you consider your permanent address, please update your voter registration at www.GoVoteColorado.com. The form will also be available at Colorado Springs Together: The Center.

If you are displaced from your permanent residence, but have plans to return, you may remain registered to vote at that address. If you are living at a temporary home and have plans to return to your residence on record, you may want to consider adding a mailing address to your voter record. This may also be done by visiting www.GoVoteColorado.com. The form will also be available at Colorado Springs Together: The Center.

Registration Deadline:
If you or someone you know is not yet registered to vote, that must be completed no later than Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

Three Voting options for November 6, 2012:

Mail-in Voting is available for this election. While this is not an all mail ballot Election as was the 2012 Primary Election, all registered voters have the option of voting by mail should they choose to do so. Please visit www.GoVoteColorado.com to request a ballot be mailed to your mailing address on file. Ballots will be mailed starting October 15, 2012.
