Sports Equipment Free Shopping Event

A Precious Child, in collaboration with Kroenke Sports, will be providing sports equipment in all shapes and sizes to the children and youth of Colorado Springs who lost their homes in the Waldo Canyon Fire. Please join us and “shop” for free new and gently-used sports gear!

When:
Saturday, September 15, 2012
10:00 a.m. – Noon
(Or until supplies last)

Where:

Coronado High School Parking Lot
1590 W Fillmore Street
Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Why:
Jessica Redfield Ghawi, aspiring journalist and a true philanthropist, inspired everyone she met. She was particularly struck by the devastation of the Colorado wildfires and the long-term impacts on the children and youth. Jessica’s dream was to provide sports equipment to the children affected by the Colorado wildfires. She believed that sports were an integral part of her upbringing and wanted all children to have those same opportunities.

Jessica’s life was tragically taken from her during the Aurora theater shootings but her legacy lives on. On behalf of Jessica, A Precious Child is reaching out with compassionate hearts to help the children and youth affected by the Colorado Springs wildfire.

Kroenke Sports and A Precious Child will be collecting new and gently-used sports equipment at the Pepsi Center as a part of our giveSPORTS Program. At this event at Coronado High School, they will be distributing the sports equipment donations directly to children and youth in hopes of bringing joy to your community.
