Community Restoration Progress Update

45 new home permits have been issued and 36 of those have begun construction!

As you may have seen on TV and read in the Gazette, Jody Boyd and Trish Nelson-Boyd became the first homeowners to move back into their newly constructed home in Mountain Shadows after the Waldo Canyon Fire. The Boyd’s new home is on the same lot where their house stood before the fire.

Colorado Springs Together congratulates Jody and Trish on this noteworthy feat: Welcome home.

Your dedication to your neighborhood and your neighbors is very much appreciated. Thank you for exemplifying the tremendous spirit of the Mountain Shadows community.

We look forward to many, many more neighbors moving back into this great community in the weeks and months ahead.
