Colorado Springs Together Card™
Colorado Springs Together, in conjunction with The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, and Heartland Payment Systems, is pleased to present to you the Colorado Springs Together Card™ for the residents impacted by the Waldo Canyon Fire. We understand that many businesses have been financially and personally impacted by the fire and its after effects. Utilizing the discount card, we can help each other get back on track. This program offers a win-win opportunity, bringing you increased business, while offering support to victims in their time of need.
What is the Colorado Springs Together Card™?
Those impacted by the Waldo Canyon Fire – from smoke damage and vegetation destruction to total property loss – numbers 4,000 residents, representing 1,700 physical addresses. They need our help to rebuild their properties and their lives. The purpose of this card is to provide meaningful discounts to these families.
The residents have a wide range of needs; from bedding, to spice racks, to lawn mowers, to a night out. Because of these varied needs, ideally the card will be able to be used at clothing retailers, restaurants, furniture stores, attractions, activities, lodging, home services, and more.
Colorado Springs Together will distribute the cards to the affected Mountain Shadows residents so they can receive the discounts and special offers from participating businesses. We invite you to take part in this discount program, as your support of our friends and neighbors is valued greatly. There is no fee to be an official partner in this program – your only financial commitment is to honor the discount that you provide for the card holders.
To provide consumer protection to these residents, each discount/deal offered will be screened and vetted. Colorado Springs Together reserves the right to refuse any offer submitted.
What Does the Card Offer to Merchants?
As a part of this program, your business will receive:
- Recognition on the ColoradoSpringsTogether.org website
- Recognition of new participating merchants in emails to residents of Mountain Shadows
- Recognition in local print media
- A prominent window cling that shows your commitment to our city and region
- A customer base in need of almost everything!
What Do We Ask in Return?
- At least a 20% discount threshold (or equivalent deal)
- Honor the discount until at least the end of 2013
- Communicate the program to your staff so they can best serve these customers
