Save the Date: Community Wide Sandbag Day

Due to post-fire flooding risks, there will be a community-wide sandbagging effort for the residents of Mountain Shadows and Peregrine. The bagging will likely take place at a central location in the neighborhood. The 60 pound bags of sand will be filled and provided to homeowners as well as delivered to the necessary areas by a large team of volunteers organized by the Office of Emergency Management for the City of Colorado Springs.

New Mountain Shadows Restoration Video

There was a high level of interest in our last video detailing debris removal. We would like to thank Windstar Studios for volunteering their time and resources for its production.

This new video features experts from the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and the El Paso County Health Department discussing debris removal, licensed contractors, permits required and health considerations. Please watch the video for ways in which you can take the appropriate precautions around the ash and debris in the neighborhoods and take the steps necessary to clean-up and secure your lot.
