New Start with Fresh Art
We have just been informed about this event, and feel it is important to the Mountain Shadows community. Please note the sign-up date of September 19.
A D11 project supported by Catholic Charities of Central Colorado and Colorado Springs businesses:
Dear Families Impacted by the Waldo Canyon Fire,
Fresh StART is a program providing you the opportunity to create new art to display in your current home. Art teachers and artists will lead you as individuals or as families in art projects. When your project is done we will help you mat your fresh art. We will frame your art with a wood frame and glass as supplies last.
Everyone that lost art to the fire is welcome to come and make fresh art. High School students may choose to create a finger painting project, for example, to replace one they made as a child. A family may choose to create a collaborative artwork together to display in their new home. Residents that do not have children in school may choose to use our facility to make something new. Our goal is to give you choices and the time and place to create fresh art.
I must say that I will enjoy seeing all of my former Chipeta students that are in Middle and High school as well as in work or college. I would also like to meet those of you that attended other elementary schools. It would be an honor to help adults create new art no matter their artistic skill.

Nonetheless, we occasionally run across someone who is unaware of our ongoing communications efforts. If you know anyone who is not receiving these emails, please let them know that the best way to be kept up-to-date with the restoration plans is to sign up for our emails on the bottom of our home page at www.ColoradoSpringsTogether.org. Thank you for supporting your neighbors in this way.
