Flower Pot Event

As we informed you last weekend, there is an event at the Colorado Springs Together center to distribute handmade quilts to the families whose homes were burned in the fire.

We are pleased to be able to inform you of another gift from your community being distributed at the same event.

The Awakening Artists' initiative, Beauty for Ashes, has beautifully hand crafted flower pots designed by local artists specifically for each of the families who lost their homes in the Waldo Canyon Fire.

Saturday, October 6th, 2012
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Awakening Artists, Inc. is a non-profit organization, located in Colorado Springs, whose mission is to encourage the artists and inspire creativity locally and internationally.

Their Beauty for Ashes initiative began in response the Waldo Canyon fire. The artist community around the world wanted a way to use their creative talents to help in the restoration process.

Thus, the first of several artistic projects is Operation: Flowers 347. If you have not yet received your flower pot, please plan to pick one up during our distribution event along side the Piecing Partners Quilt Guild.
